Does Page Rank matter?
Many people swear by page rank and if you look at most SEO companies they tend to build back links to sites with high page ranks. There is a drawback to this technique because if a site with a high page rank is linked to one with a lower page rank the value gets reduced. this is why some site owners will not accept reciprocal link.
I used to worry about page ranks but came to realise that they are no longer rel event, so now i do not bother with them. If you concentrate on the basics of providing good content on a regular basis the search engine bots will reward you for your effort.
A lot of people tend to send the wrong message in their copy, concentrating on the hard sell rather than providing quality information about their product. You need to realise that we are in an information age, that is why so many people look things up on Google. So its natural that search engine robot bots are designed to search out information which will answer peoples queries.
What does this mean for you, you as an advertiser need to write copy for robots not for real people. take for example a online classified advert you can forget about using flash,colours, pictures, or sound because robots with a few exceptions are colour blind and deaf. plain text is fine, if you use HTML stick to basic formatting such as p br h1 h2 and links, that is all that is required.

In order to reach top positions all you need to do is research your keywords and then provide daily content via RSS feeds or blogs. Yesterday I attended a presentation by Terry Allison who was explaining what needs to be done to be successful online, well imagine my surprise when my name was mentioned, it seems he had found a video interview where I was discussing my success with the Veretekk Platinum control panel with Tom Prendergast of Veretekk. I had actually my self watched it earlier in the week, it had been recorded some 18 month ago.
I have been using the Platinum control panel daily since it was first introduced, It took a little time to understand how to use it, a bit like stepping into a Formula 1 car, the power is incredible. The system is as it say a control panel which Veretekk owners can use to not only to organise, control and update up to twenty are more separate accounts but also to save an immense amount of time in their marketing campaigns.
Now you know how marketeers are bemoaning the fact that Google and other search engines often update their algorithms to provide better results for the public , which means the marketeers backdoor methods have to be redone, and back linking and link share technics adopted. Well my own SEO results barely change, in fact I have actually lost count of the number of top positions I have claimed.
I noticed today that Google has kindly given me a related search to my name David Ogden Internet Marketing Mentor which is great. Many times I have looked for people who are touting marketing systems but cannot find any mention of them online apart from reference to scammers.
Given the right tools and the discipline required to succeed plus time anyone can dominate the search engines, but a word of warning if you continually jump from one product to another you will only succeed in confusing the search engines and lining other peoples pockets.
I am shortly going to be moving to the Philippines which is going to open up a new marketing Asia area, I have already approached a few companies with ideas on how I can enhance their marketing efforts and when the Platinum control panel is re released in the next month or so this will be at the centre of my arsenal.
