Parents Day USA Sunday 26th July

In 1994 President Bill Clinton signed into law a resolution adopted by the US Congress to establish the fourth Sunday of every July as Parents' Day. This day is similar to Mother's Day and Father's Day. According to the Congressional Resolution, Parents’ Day is established for “recognizing, uplifting, and supporting the role of parents in the rearing of children” (cited in the National Parents' Day Council website).

On parents day, parental figures in the United States receive the recognition for the role they play in their children’s lives on Parents’ Day. What do people do?

Parents’ Day is celebrated on the fourth Sunday each year. Citizens, organizations, and federal, state, and local governmental and legislative entities are encouraged to recognize Parents’ Day through proclamations, activities, and educational efforts to recognize, uplift and support the role of parents in bringing up their children.

The Parents’ Day Council plays an active role in celebrating and promoting Parents’ Day through a range of events and activities. For example, the council honors “Parents of the Year” at local, state and national levels. Those who have been nominated or selected are people who exemplify the standard and ideal of positive parenthood. Exemplary parents from each state are nominated for “National Parents of the Year”.

Do you Want To Make Money Online?

It may come as a surprise to you that to be successful online you need to treat your business as a business. There is no way to get rich quick despite the thousands of people who advertise that you can be earning $ thousands within a few weeks.

Working online is no different to working offline, you get paid for the work you put in and it will take 3- five years before you will be earning substantial money. The most important step is choosing a good business, what you are looking for is an established opportunity that has been around for about ten years, so that mean forget about all the pre launch specials which offer you the world and end up giving you nothing, they are no more than a lottery.

You will need to put time and effort into your business and like any business you will need to have money to get going, yes there are free opportunities, but you get nothing for free in this world, that is a fact of life.

What ever business you choose you will need to learn everything you can about it and how it works, and if you are joining an affiliate business make sure that you join under someone who is willing and able to help you, not someone who is just after your money.

I know you would all like to get a six figure income from working online, and yes you can, it will take between 5-10 years of work. If you have a normal job would you expect to be earning a six figure income in less than that time working full time? Along the way I have learnt many things, one of which is that for the first couple of years monthly income will be small and there is a temptation to question if you will ever make real money, but I now know that if you persevere you will.

One Interesting point I learnt this week is that 1 in 30 people you introduce into a business will understand the business and build a successful business of their own. So forget the idea of only finding 3-4 people, you need to raise your sights much higher.

Today was a good start to the week, as I looked at the back office of my business and discovered that as a result of sending out a few real cards last week to customers who had not ordered products from me recently, I had two new orders.

There are many ways of keeping in contact with customers, with email being the most common method, however with spam filters and the way that many people often change email addresses this is beginning to lose popularity.

The telephone is a good method but here again the widespread use of phone diallers has resulted in many people switching phones to voicemail, so it can be difficult to make contact, added to which phones are often cut-off, or false numbers provided on forms.

The main point in sending out real cards to customers is you know their address is real as you have delivered products to them and people do not often move house.

I actually get pleasure in picking out real cards to send from my computer and with over 12,000 choices it will be a long time before I run out of ideas.

Mother Day is Over

You are too late to send out a real card for Mothers day, but when you think about there are many occasion cropping up on a regular basis such as birthdays marriages etc, along with  Fathers days,  4th July and many other national day depending on where you live, it will not be long before its time to write another card.

I learnt of someone recently who was competing for a contract with a bank and following a business presentation, she sent out a real thank you card to the director thanking him for sparing the time to listen to her presentation. This small act resulted in her being awarded the contract.

Send Out Real Cards

In this era of advancing technology we may be forgetting how to communicate both with our customers and friends and family in the old fashioned way by sending letters and cards.

I recently realised that perhaps I have been over using technology and yes I have been sending out E-cards, but its not the same as the real thing. firstly they often get lost and secondly the receiver needs to print them out if they want to display them.

I think more joy is added, when a person gets a card and looks at the postmark to see where it comes from and then at the handwriting, to try and guess the sender before opening.

I have also started sending out cards to my customers, knowing that a lot of emails do not get through as users often change their Email accounts, but I always have a delivery address for my products.

Sending thank you cards to customers has resulted in an increase of reorders, and I believe it is a useful and forgotten tool which in these difficult economic times can make a difference.

Send Out a Real Card For Mothers Day

Are you the kind of person that uses the Internet to search for cards, I used to send out a lot of  e-cards because it was so quick and easy to send them. but over the past few years many have gone missing as email addresses are changed or blocked.
