Today was a day of frustrations, it started ok I did my online marketing and then decided to to do some offline marketing of my sell my house property business, but combine that with a fitness session by using my mountain bike. The route I chose was the old coastal road. I packed a few leaflets in my hydration pack and set off. Before I had gone too far I had to stop and adjust my saddle as it was working loose on the gravel dirt track. Saddle fixed and I was on my way, spotted a house with a for sale sign. Nice house but no one home, tool some pictures and set off down the route. A few miles later another nice house but again no one home. spoke to neighbours across road and learn owner has Internet cafe in Sindangan. Got the phone number, readjusted my saddle and decided to head home for lunch.

After lunch, started trying to contact owners of properties and guess what not one reply. One person had 5 different numbers and did not answer, unbelievable. I had one email address but that was useless as the domain was missing. I tried on and off all afternoon and by evening time the whole network was busy so what can one do.

Yes network problem's are out with ones control however if you want to sell something you need to answer phones, it is almost as if the owners are not interested in selling.

Today is a departure from my usual tips on how to market your business, as I discovered new company with a unique marketing plan which not only can save people money when moving house but can also be turned into a business. On top of which they have a number of international investors.

So now what of the business side, well interested parties can buy a franchise for a particular area and earn commissions on all sales in that area, in addition they can earn money from sub affiliates either in their area or from anywhere in the world. Now I think they have all angles covered and we will have to see how everything pans out, The only thing I do not like is the early starter Guarantees, which sound a bit get rich quick, but I can understand this is needed in order to get the all areas covered as soon as possible and the guarantees will not last forever.

You have probably heard about back links being necessary to to improve the position of where your website appears in results, so how do you go about getting back links. In my opinion the best backlinks are the ones you create yourself because you can ensure they are correctly tagged , not only that but you can provide potential customers with more information at the at the same time. you can do this by creating blogs and posting to them on a daily basis and also by placing free classified ads on known to be frequented by search engine spider, looking for new content.

Your backlinks will grow slowly in time, because you are working on a long term strategy. you can also use the feeds from one of your blogs to provide updated content to your website. The fact you may be syndicating similar content in multiple blogs will not be regarded as duplicate content.

Many people swear by page rank and if you look at most SEO companies they tend to build back links to sites with high page ranks. There is a drawback to this technique because if a site with a high page rank is linked to one with a lower page rank the value gets reduced. this is why some site owners will not accept reciprocal link.


I used to worry about page ranks but came to realise that they are no longer rel event, so now i do not bother with them. If you concentrate on the basics of providing good content on a regular basis the search engine bots will reward you for your effort.

A lot of people tend to send the wrong message in their copy, concentrating on the hard sell rather than providing quality information about their product. You need to realise that we are in an information age, that is why so many people look things up on Google. Yesterday I attended a presentation by Terry Allison who was explaining what needs to be done to be successful online, well imagine my surprise when my name was mentioned, it seems he had found a video interview where I was discussing my success with the Veretekk Platinum control panel with Tom Prendergast of Veretekk. I had actually my self watched it earlier in the week, it had been recorded some 18 month ago.
